To plead to the Lord for a speedy end to the current worldwide pandemic, Pope Francis invites all to join with him in prayer on Friday, March 27, 7:00 a.m. Hawaii Time (6:00 p.m. Rome time).
The Holy Father will conduct a prayer service for all the world at St. Peter’s Basilica, which will include Scripture readings, prayers, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. He will conclude with the Urbi et Orbi Blessing (to the city of Rome and to the world), which is normally only given at Easter and Christmas. A special indulgence is connected to this blessing. You can join in this prayer service via EWTN Catholic television network or other media portals.
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord.
Marianist Moment: Annunciation, written by Bro. David Betz:
“March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation of Our Lord, was designated as the Patronal Feast for the Marianist Family. We celebrated the moment when Mary said, “yes” to becoming the Mother of Jesus. She received the message from the angel Gabriel. She listened to what the angel had to say. She pondered on what it meant. She even questioned what it would mean for her. After being reassured by Gabriel, she said, “yes,” and the Spirit overshadowed her and she conceived Jesus into her womb. This is a time when we are asked to remember the time that were called by God and to listen, ponder and hopefully say “yes” to God’s will in our lives.”
Please virtually join us TOMORROW (3/25) in celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation, the Patronal Feast of the Marianist Family. We will be live-streaming a Mass celebration at 6:30 am HST on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Live-stream or recording can be viewed on Facebook (you donʻt need a Facebook account to watch the live-stream – just wait till we get it started), or watch the recording on the St. Anthony YouTube page. Links are accessible on our web page.

Aloha St. Anthony Parish,
I would like to share with you a message from Pope Francis:
#PrayTogether, entrusting ourselves to the intercession of St. Joseph, who knew precariousness and bitterness. Though he worried about the future, he knew how to walk through the darkness of certain moments, always letting himself be guided by God’s will without reservation.-Pope Francis
May God Bles You,
